About Payments on Topcher

Topcher is a free platform that connects students with tutors. Payment for tutoring sessions is arranged directly between students and tutors. Topcher does not process, handle, or mediate payments.

1. Session Cancellation

If you need to cancel a scheduled tutoring session:

  • Please notify your tutor or student as early as possible
  • We recommend cancelling at least 24 hours in advance as a courtesy
  • Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may affect your profile visibility

2. Tutor No-Show

If a tutor doesn't appear for a scheduled session:

  • Wait 10 minutes past the scheduled start time
  • Report the no-show through the session page or contact us
  • The tutor's account will be flagged for review

3. Disputes

If you have a dispute with a tutor or student:

  • Contact us with details of the issue
  • Our team will review and may mediate the situation
  • Accounts that violate our guidelines may be suspended
